The community of Pencoed is deeply saddened by the recent passing of a beloved member, known to many as ‘Disco Dave’. The 58-year-old, whose real name was David Jones, tragically lost his life following an incident in our small town.
Jones was a well-known figure in Pencoed, loved by all who knew him. His nickname, ‘Disco Dave’, came from his love for music and dancing. He was often seen grooving to the beats of his favorite disco tunes, bringing joy and laughter wherever he went.
Born and raised in Pencoed, Jones was a true local. He was known for his friendly nature, always ready with a smile and a kind word for anyone he came across. His love for his community was evident in everything he did, from organizing charity events to helping out his neighbors in need.
Jones had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. He was an avid traveler, always seeking new adventures and experiences. He had a particular love for nature and spent much of his time exploring the beautiful countryside around Pencoed. His enthusiasm for life was infectious, and he inspired many to live their lives with the same vigor and zest.
Jones was also a dedicated family man. He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Sarah, and their two children, Emily and Jack. To his family, he was a loving husband and father, always putting their needs before his own. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
