Former Umzimkhulu municipal manager denies the allegations that he was involved in Magaqa murder
Former Umzimkhulu municipal manager, Ms. Sithandiwe Nyanga, has come forward to deny the allegations that she was involved in the murder of former ANC Youth League secretary-general, Sindiso Magaqa.
In a statement released today, Ms. Nyanga vehemently denied any involvement in the tragic and senseless murder of Mr. Magaqa. She described the allegations as baseless and unfounded, and stated that she has no knowledge or connection to the incident.
“I would like to categorically state that I had no part in the murder of Mr. Magaqa. These allegations are completely false and have caused great distress to me and my family,” Ms. Nyanga stated.
The allegations against Ms. Nyanga surfaced after the arrest of Harry Gwala District Municipality Mayor, Mluleki Ndobe, and two other suspects in connection with Mr. Magaqa’s murder. It was reported that one of the suspects had allegedly implicated Ms. Nyanga in the murder.

Ms. Nyanga has also expressed her willingness to cooperate with the authorities in their investigation and has urged anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
“I have nothing to hide and I am willing to cooperate fully with the police in their investigation. I urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing the perpetrators to justice,” she added.
Ms. Nyanga, who served as municipal manager of Umzimkhulu from 2013 to 2018, has a clean record and has been praised for her dedication and hard work by colleagues and community members alike. She has also been commended for her role in transforming the municipality and improving the lives of its residents.
“I have always been committed to my job and serving the community of Umzimkhulu. I have worked tirelessly to improve the municipality and I am proud of the progress we have made. These false allegations have tarnished my reputation and I hope the truth will prevail,” Ms. Nyanga stated.
