Singer James Morrison's wife, Gill Catchpole, has reportedly died, aged 45. Gill is said to have been found dead at the couple's home in Gloucestershire on January 5.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, a source close to the family claimed. James, who shares two daughters with Gill, 15-year-old Elsie and five-year-old Ada, is reportedly being supported by family and close friends.
According to a source, James is 'devastated' by Gill's passing, the Mirror reports. They added: "Gill was found dead on Friday at the family's home in Whitminster.
"James is devastated and is being supported by his family. He is holding it together for their girls but has asked for the family to be left alone to grieve in private."
Many people have taken to James' Instagram account to post messages of love and support on his most recent upload.
Dynamoisdead said: "Incredibly sorry for your loss bro. Sending my condolences." Ailarr1989 wrote: "So sorry for your loss James." Missslooj penned: "You're in my thought, James." Sharoninstreatham added: "So sorry to read of the loss of your dear partner. You are one genuine guy. Love to your whole family."
James and Gill were due to get married, though the date of their wedding is not clear. In regards to how the pair first met, James previously opened up about the unusual start to their relationship.
Revealing on the White Wine Question Time podcast how they first crossed paths when Gill moved into James' mother's home as a lodger, with her then-boyfriend, he said: "It wasn't the easiest start, but I just still see it as a really romantic thing. I'm not very romantic.
"I'm not like: 'I love romance!' But I do find certain things romantic and the fact that we met each other the way we did. It's like a little fairy tale or something!" Three months after Gill broke up with her then-boyfriend, who also moved out, she and James began dating. But it wasn't long before Gill's ex returned, when he began dating James' mum.
