Motsoeneng Refutes Claims of PEC Disbandment
The Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) of South Africa’s ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC), has been at the center of controversy in recent weeks. Speculations have been rife that the PEC will be disbanded due to disagreements and infighting within the committee. However, ANC Provincial Chairperson, Supra Mahumapelo, has categorically denied these claims and has received support from the PEC’s Secretary, Hlaudi Motsoeneng.
In a recent press conference, Motsoeneng, who is also the former Chief Operating Officer of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), refuted the claims of disbandment and assured the public that the PEC remains united and focused on their mandate.
“We want to assure the people of South Africa that the PEC is not going to be disbanded. Our focus remains on serving the people and implementing the policies of our party,” Motsoeneng stated confidently.
The rumors of disbandment were fueled by reports of disagreements within the PEC, particularly between Mahumapelo and the ANC’s National Executive Committee (NEC). However, Motsoeneng clarified that these were just differences of opinion and not a sign of division within the committee.
“Our party is a democratic organization, and it is only natural that there will be varying opinions and debates within the PEC. However, we are a united front and our disagreements only serve to strengthen our commitment to the party’s vision,” he explained.
Motsoeneng’s words were echoed by Mahumapelo, who also dismissed the claims of disbandment as baseless. He emphasized that the PEC remains committed to the ANC and its principles, and any rumors of disbandment are simply attempts to discredit the committee.
“We are aware of the attempts to sow division and create uncertainty within our party, but we will not be shaken. We are a strong and united PEC, and we will continue to work towards the betterment of our country and its people,” Mahumapelo stated.
The PEC has been instrumental in driving the ANC’s agenda in the North West province, with notable achievements in education, health, and economic development. They have also been praised for their efforts in addressing issues of corruption and maladministration within the province.
Motsoeneng highlighted the PEC’s achievements and stressed that their focus remains on delivering on their promises to the people of North West.
“We have made significant strides in improving the lives of our people, and we will not allow any distractions to deter us from our goal. We remain committed to serving the people and creating a better future for all,” he emphasized.
Motsoeneng’s resolute stance and unwavering support for the PEC has instilled confidence in the party’s supporters and the public at large. Many have commended him for his leadership and for standing up against the baseless rumors.
In conclusion, the PEC of the ANC in North West has refuted claims of disbandment and reiterated their commitment to the party and its vision. They remain united and focused on their mandate, despite attempts to create division and uncertainty. The PEC’s reassurance has brought a sense of stability and unity within the party, and the people of North West can rest assured that their province is in capable hands.
