Many of us might already be familiar with the story of Gypsy-Rose Blanchard. For those who don't know, Gypsy-Rose was just 23-years-old when she pleaded guilty to second-degree murder after persuading her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn to murder her mother Dee Dee Blanchard.
During the trial, it was revealed that Gypsy-Rose had been the victim of years of psychological and physical abuse by her mother. Dee Dee forced her daughter to pretend to suffer from a number of chronic and physical illnesses and Gypsy-Rose was subjected to a number of unnecessary surgeries and medications.
After meeting online and forming a relationship, Gypsy-Rose let Godejohn into the home she hared with her mother and hid before he stabbed Dee Dee 17 times. In December, Gypsy-Rose was freed from prison after serving eight years and a docuseries is now set to be released when she will tell her story in her own words.
When will The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard be released?
