Hani’s killer Janusz Walus to be deported to Poland

Since Janusz Walus no longer holds any South African documents, he will be deported. This decision has been met with mixed reactions from the public, but it is a necessary step in ensuring the safety and security of our country.

For those who may not be familiar with the case, Janusz Walus is a Polish immigrant who has been living in South Africa for over 30 years. In 1993, he committed a heinous act by assassinating Chris Hani, the leader of the South African Communist Party. He was sentenced to life imprisonment but was recently granted parole after serving 25 years.

However, his parole was revoked after it was revealed that he had illegally obtained South African citizenship through fraudulent means. This sparked a debate on whether he should be allowed to stay in the country or be deported back to his home country.

After careful consideration and review of all the facts, the Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, has made the decision to deport Janusz Walus. This decision was not taken lightly and was based on the Immigration Act which states that any person who obtained citizenship through fraudulent means can have their citizenship revoked and be deported.

This decision has been welcomed by many South Africans who believe that Janusz Walus should not be allowed to stay in the country after committing such a heinous crime. It is a clear message that our country will not tolerate any form of criminal activity, especially from those who have obtained citizenship through deceitful means.

Furthermore, this decision is in line with the values of our constitution which promotes the rule of law and justice for all. It is a reminder that no one is above the law and that everyone, regardless of their status or background, will be held accountable for their actions.

Some may argue that Janusz Walus has lived in South Africa for over three decades and has made a life for himself here. However, it is important to note that his presence in our country was never legitimate in the first place. He obtained citizenship through fraudulent means and has been living here illegally. Therefore, his deportation is not a punishment, but rather a correction of a wrong that was done.

Moreover, it is a matter of national security. Janusz Walus’s presence in our country poses a threat to the safety and well-being of our citizens. As a convicted murderer, he has shown a disregard for human life and should not be allowed to roam freely in our society. His deportation is a necessary step in ensuring the safety of our people.

It is also worth noting that Janusz Walus will not be deported to Poland immediately. The Department of Home Affairs will follow the proper procedures and protocols to ensure that he is deported safely and securely. This will also give him the opportunity to make arrangements for his family and belongings.

In conclusion, the decision to deport Janusz Walus is a just and necessary one. It is a reminder that our country will not tolerate any form of criminal activity and that justice will prevail. It is also a step towards ensuring the safety and security of our nation. Let us all support this decision and continue to uphold the values of our constitution.
