Youth League in KZN calls for ANC’s immediate withdrawal from GPU

The ANC Youth League in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) has recently made a bold and decisive call for the immediate withdrawal of the African National Congress (ANC) from the government of provincial unity. This call comes at a crucial time in our country’s history, where the ANC is facing numerous challenges and struggles to maintain its integrity and credibility.

The ANC Youth League in KZN, as the voice of the youth within the ANC, has always been at the forefront of advocating for the interests of the people and the party. It is with this same spirit and determination that we make this call for the withdrawal of the ANC from the government of provincial unity.

The government of provincial unity was formed in 2019, after the ANC failed to secure an outright majority in the KZN provincial elections. This coalition government, which includes the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) and the Democratic Alliance (DA), was formed in an attempt to ensure stability and effective governance in the province.

However, it has become clear that this coalition government has not served the best interests of the people of KZN. Instead, it has become a breeding ground for corruption, mismanagement, and political infighting. The recent scandals involving the IFP and DA councillors, as well as the ongoing power struggles within the coalition, are clear indications that this government of provincial unity has failed to deliver on its promises.

As the ANC Youth League, we strongly believe that the ANC should not be associated with such a government. The ANC has a proud history of fighting for the rights of the people and promoting good governance. We cannot allow our party to be tainted by the actions of other parties who do not share our values and principles.

Furthermore, the ANC has always been the dominant party in KZN, and it is our responsibility to lead the province with integrity and accountability. By remaining in this coalition government, we are compromising our values and betraying the trust of the people who have voted for us.

It is time for the ANC to take a stand and show that we are a party of integrity and not willing to compromise our values for the sake of political expediency. We call on the ANC leadership to heed our call and withdraw from the government of provincial unity immediately.

We understand that this decision may not be easy, and there may be consequences. However, as the youth of the ANC, we are willing to face these consequences and stand by our principles. We believe that the people of KZN will support our decision and stand with us in our fight for a better and more accountable government.

In conclusion, the ANC Youth League in KZN calls for the immediate withdrawal of the ANC from the government of provincial unity. We believe that this decision is in the best interests of the people of KZN and the ANC as a whole. It is time for the ANC to take a stand and show that we are a party of integrity and not willing to compromise our values for the sake of political expediency. Let us unite and work towards a better future for all South Africans.
