On February 14th, Minister João Baptista Borges, from the Ministry of Energy and Water, along with Energy Secretary António Belsa da Costa, welcomed Danae Pauli, who serves as the Counselor for the “Global Partnership for Infrastructure and Investment” program under the United States Government. Also attending was Ambassador Agostinho Van-Dúnem, representing Angola to the United States of America.
The meeting focused on integrating high-voltage transmission/transportation line projects in the Southern and Eastern regions within the Lobito Corridor framework. Additionally, discussions covered preparations for the Strategic Energy Dialogue, assistance from the Power Africa Program, and the second phase of the Sun Africa project for installing Solar Parks in the country.
It’s noteworthy that the GPII, a governmental institution, plays a role in implementing and operationalizing Lobito Corridor projects.
