Experts have shared their weight loss tips on Steven Bartlett's Diary of a CEO podcast, including some which may help burn the 'belly fat'. First up was Dr Mindy Pelz, who spoke to the podcast host about a 'belly fat burning diet', outlining how to approach eating and how to behave in order to achieve goals.
The doctor discussed fasting, which is where you abstain from food for a period of time. Dr Pelz claims that it can help build healthier gut microbiome. Explaining all to Bartlett, Dr Pelz said: "The fat burner fast is probably my favourite for those people who want to lose weight. The research was done that 36 hours without food followed by 12 hours of eating," burns fat according to the expert.
She added: "What happens is that's enough time where the blood sugars come come down. Where all of a sudden the body goes 'okay blood sugar is not coming'." Your therefore goes into ketosis and begins using energy from your own body to fuel you.
"It's the most beautiful way to get a person to unstick any kind of weight loss resistance." She added that in trials she has seen the most amount of 'weight' be lost from the belly. Dr Pelz joked: "I probably should have called it the belly fat fast."
Dr Pelz wasn't the only expert with views on how to shift belly fat. Second was Gary Brecka, a human biologist, who said to lose belly fat people should consider immersing themselves in cold water.
