Doctor explains the four things she does to get a good night’s sleep

A doctor has confirmed the four things she does to help her get a good night's sleep. Dr Poonam Desai uploaded a video explaining all for her 22K followers and shared her top tips.

"I am a doctor and these are the four things I do to get a good nights sleep and for me, that means seven to nine hours of uninterrupted sleep. So here are my favourite four things to do to make sure I get good sleep." She said.

"The first is to set my thermostat in my bedroom to 65 to 69 degrees Fahrenheit, number two is I stop eating at least two to three hours before my bedtime. Number three is that I try to avoid blue light at night. So I try to avoid my phone, my laptop and any screens.

"If I do have to use screens, I turn my phone to a red light screen to diminish the effects of blue light on our brain and our sleep and awake hormones like melatonin or I put on blue light blockers when I'm watching some screens."

She added: "Number four is going to be that I avoid alcohol and sugar at least two hours before bedtime." Many of people flocked to the comment section to react, share their sleeping struggles and what tips they use.
