Reports in Spain say six French tourists have been arrested after a teenage British girl was allegedly raped in her hotel room. The Mirror reported the alleged attack took place in Magaluf, and a major investigation has been launched.
The group went back with the girl to the hotel after meeting her at a party in the early hours of Monday, it is reported. The unnamed woman was raped at around five in the morning last Monday in the Spanish holiday resort.
They are alleged to have recorded the assault on their phones, a source close to the investigation told Ultima Hora.
The teenager reportedly managed to escape and ran into the street shouting for help. A hotel security guard then saw her crying and notified the police, according to the paper.
She gave officers a description of the suspects, who were then arrested. Detectives are said to have inspected the room and reviewed CCTV footage from the hotel’s entrance as part of their enquiries.
The woman was examined by a medic, who is claimed to have found grip marks on her arms. The six arrested men appeared in court this week.
